Purpose, legal basis, categories of recipients, storage period for the data processing
Purpose: Presentation of the company and provision of services and/or sale of products, as well as communication through the Internet
The purpose of data processing on this website is to provide information about the products and services of our company, combined with the opportunity for users to be able to make contact with the appropriate contact person in house.
In providing our website, we comply with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the German Digital Services Act (DDG) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). We process personal data in particular in accordance with the following legal bases:
- Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR for the processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
- Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR for the processing of personal data necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject, as well as for taking appropriate steps prior to entering into a contract.
- Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR for the processing necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject in accordance with applicable EU law or in accordance with the applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is applicable in whole or in part.
- Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR for the processing of personal data necessary to protect the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject. Legitimate interests are, in particular, our commercial interest to be able to provide our website, the security of information, the enforcement of our own legal claims and the compliance with further legislation.
To this end, in the context of service provision, we use service providers that have been separately bound to maintain confidentiality and to protect data. Data shall only be disclosed to a third party in the existence of overriding statutory provisions. A transfer of data to third countries only takes place under consideration of the requirements according to Art. 44 GDPR.

The aforementioned data is processed by us for the purpose of ensuring a trouble-free connection as well as system security. The generated connection data is automatically deleted and is not retained for longer than seven days. If the website is improperly used, log data whose further storage is necessary for evidentiary purposes will be retained until the incident has been clarified.

Should you wish to write to us using our contact from, your data from the form is processed to deal with your concern. The legal basis for the transmission of data to us is Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent under data protection law at any time with effect for the future.
The data is then removed. If there is no legal obligation to retain data arising from your enquiry (e.g. an order), the data is removed after three years. Your data is transmitted internally to the competent contact person to process your enquiry. Data is not transmitted to a third party without your approval.
Matomo (used at gus-germany.com)
We use the software Matomo to analyze and statistically evaluate the use of the website. The legal basis is your consent according to Art 6 para. 1 lit a. DSGVO and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Cookies are used for tracking with Matomo. The information generated by the cookie about website usage is transmitted to our servers and summarized in pseudonymous usage profiles. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website and to enable us to design our website in line with requirements. The information is not passed on to third parties. In no case will the IP address be linked to other data concerning the user. The IP addresses are anonymized so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking). This website uses Google Maps, a service of Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). The legal basis for this processing is your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Art. 49 para. 1 S.1 lit. a GDPR.
At least the IP address, URL (internet address) of our website and date/time of use are transmitted to Google. It is not excluded that this information is transmitted to a Google server in the USA. Data is only transferred to the USA if the requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR are fulfilled. The transfer of personal data to the USA has been assessed by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) as adequately secure for companies participating in the DPF, including Google Inc.
